I am trying to catch up on sleep. Why you might ask? It is bad enough I am a night owl and the Olympics are on now but the reasons are deeper than that. I had my 20 print portfolio due Friday for my CPP. I spent many late nights last week going through thousands of photos to decide the 20 photos I have taken in the last 24 months to send in for my portfolio. These are the rules. 20 photos in the last 24 months, they had to be for a customer and the photos have to be submitted as they were to the customer. No extra retouching.
When you sign up for the CPP you have two years to complete the test and the 20 image portfolio review. I passed the test last month so now I just need to pass the portfolio review. Since I am not 100% sure what CPP Portfolio judges are looking for I do not expect to pass this time. However, if I do not pass I will receive some information on why not so I can change it next time. I expect to hear back in about 1 month. I will keep you posted. Here is one of the photos in the portfolio from almost two years ago. It was a portrait of Aaron who was a senior at the time, and I won an Honorable Mention at AAPI in 2007.
