Fall Mini Sessions DFW Dallas Fort Worth

We met up with Brittany & Rick early on a Sunday morning a few months ago for their engagement session. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, and there were plenty of ducks around to keep us company :). We have enjoyed getting to know Brittany & Rick over the past few months and we can’t wait until their wedding next month – we know it will be a day filled with love, laughter and a lot of fun. Be sure to check back next month for their sneak peek and a few fun pics from their photo booth!

Ok, this is a sneak peek for an engagement session instead of a wedding, but we had such a great time hanging out with Brittany and Rick that I have to post a couple of pics before they get to see the entire collection.  Brittany and Rick are one of those magical couples who are a perfect match for each other.  They are both incredibly nice, down-to-earth people, they both like to tease each other for being brainy (which they are, but in a good way) and best of all, they like to laugh together.  A lot.  So, that made us laugh a lot.  We can’t wait for their wedding this fall because I am pretty sure it will be a blast. I thought of posting a pic of Brittany’s “gangster lean” but that will have to wait until the full blog post.

We are very excited and honored to announce that Bill’s image titled “Match Light” won Best of Show at the 2010 AAPI Convention and trade show in Las Vegas last week! Aside from Bill’s Best of Show image, we had 4 other images take first place in their category.

“Match Light” ~ Best of Show; 1st place, Portrait Non-Digitally Enhanced

“Erin” ~ 1st place, Boudoir Portrait

“Officer and His Lady” ~ 1st place, Civil War Era Portrait

We had a great time last weekend at the Star-Telegram Bridal Show and we enjoyed meeting all the excited brides, grooms and parents! A huge thanks goes out to Dan and Whitney who helped us out – we couldn’t have done it without them. Even with four of us there, I know we missed out on answering some questions so please feel free to call or email us if you would like more information.

Congratulations goes out to Mandy of Grand Prairie – she is our Grand Prize Winner! Mandy is getting married in December and he has won a free 10×10 album.

I promised myself that I would get at least ONE session from this fall blogged before the new year, so here I am, 20 minutes before our New Year’s Eve Party starts, doing a blog post!  We met up with Jeanna & Brian to do their engagement photos back in September on an bright and sunny Sunday morning (yes, September – I admit I am WAY behind on posting).  Even though it was only 10AM, it was starting to get pretty warm. They were troopers and weren’t phased at all by the increasing heat of the day so we were able to take them to several of our favorite locations. Jeanna & Brian met while they were living in California and they shared a cubicle wall at work, and as the saying goes – the rest is history.  Jeanna is a dancer and we love working with dancers – they are always graceful and instinctive in front of the camera and I love that they can walk in the highest of heels and make it look easy!
