As the rain poured down, Kerry peeked out through doors to watch her daughters walk the winding path that lead to the winery. She played with the pearls around her neck and waited for her turn, wondering how a wedding that was so well planned could be rained out. The second floor of the winery was not what Kerry imagined for her ceremony – with its sharply sloping ceilings and dim lighting it was hardly the idyllic garden setting they had originally planned. Then she thought of Bob, waiting upstairs, anticipating a life of laughing together and loving each other… and the rain faded into the background…
