Jessica & Dallas got married a couple months ago already, and since Jessica was a bridesmaid at last night’s wedding (more about Randi & Ryan’s fabulous vintage wedding at a later date), we figured we really needed to share their engagement session.

When Jessica & Dallas are together they can’t help smiling ridiculously big, and that type of happiness is contagious so we found ourselves smiling and laughing the entire time we were with them.  Try as we might, we could not catch either of them NOT smiling. My cheeks actually hurt a little by the end of their session, but it was worth it because we got some amazing images!  Hope you enjoy.

We were up bright and early this morning to meet up with Nikki & Colt and they were kind enough to let us drag them all over Tarrant county for their engagement session. The day started pretty early for us, but we were able to avoid the crowds and heat so it was definitely worth it.  After hitting several locations in Fort Worth we ended up at the Cowboys Stadium – Colt works for the Dallas Cowboys so we were super excited that he was able to arrange for us to do part of their engagement session in the stadium. I haven’t finished going through the images yet, but I had to pick out a few for them to see right away!

This week has been a bit crazy for us, but we managed to fit the entire week into 5 days! It started off with a bunch of client meetings and a couple of preview sessions then we were double-booked with two big events on Thursday night, and finally, Bill flew off to Barcelona last night for his week in the south of France. He will we be doing some training for a new photo studio, and I will be hiding in the office and (hopefully) catching up on a few overdue projects. I’m sure that Bill will be taking tons of great images to do a few more of his famous travel-blog posts, but in the meantime I will show you a couple of pics from our two events on Thursday.

We arrived at the Cowboys Stadium at 2PM to set up for the Dallas Cowboys Draft Party. Bill and I were not able to work the event ourselves, but we had a great team that would be working that night (a huge thanks goes out to Dean and Chris for making it all work).  We got everything set up and did a few quick test photos before we had to run to Frisco: first is Sara who set up the banners for American Airlines, one of the event sponsors, then us (of course!):

Once we had everything set up and a few successful test prints done at the draft party, we headed up to Frisco for the Old West themed event for Cinemark Theatres. We got to work with the great group at Lagniappe Productions, who provided the western entertainment for the event and two of the 3 old time photo set ups (we were the third). Thomas and Nicole have worked several green screen events with us but this was their first time at a costumed event and they did a fabulous job – we are looking forward to working with them much more in the future!

We had an extremely busy weekend – between doing photos at the Cowboys Stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, shooting a fabulous wedding at the Petroleum Club on Saturday, an engagement session on Sunday and another one on Monday, we have barely had time to breath!  Now the craziness of Thanksgiving has started – my brother arrives from Canada tomorrow (YAY!!!), we will be doing photos at the Cowboys Stadium again on Thanksgiving (and hosting dinner for 20+ people) and we have our last wedding for 2009 on Saturday!

I haven’t had much time to blog lately but I know that Michelle checks out our blog faithfully, so I thought I would post a few quick pics from her & Bugsy’s event-filled engagement session this weekend.  Michelle & Bugsy are extremely active so we were thrilled to included some of their favorite activities. Bugsy works for the United States Bowling Congress and they met at a bowling alley, so we HAD to include some bowling pics (a huge thanks goes out to Forum Bowl for letting us take over a few lanes).  They also had a softball game at 9PM the night of their session, so we brought that into the mix.  We got a lot of amazing photos but wanted to share a few quick ones – will post more in a few weeks!

Having grown up (mostly) in Dallas, I have always been a Dallas Cowboys fan.  The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most recognized sports teams in the country, and whether you are a fan or not, you have undoubtedly heard of them. Tanya, who grew up in Canada, even knew about the Dallas Cowboys as a child – she claims it was the only American sports team she was aware of before Edmonton got their little hockey team (the Edmonton Oilers :).

I met with the Cowboys a few weeks ago because they wanted to talk to us about doing a photo op at the new stadium. I have worked with their marketing department for over a year on their promo photo system, so I am very familiar with what they want to provide for their fans.  Today was the big day – I headed out to the stadium to meet with them to set up our new location at the Cowboys Stadium!  We will be at the pro shop at the stadium on Friday and Saturday, and a yet-to-be-determined location on Sunday to do green screen photos of fans and they will have their choice of backgrounds (great deal, too – only $15 each!)  Hope to see you there!
