I am sitting here in my hotel room in Minneapolis and I suddenly realized that I will be home in 3 days and I can’t wait! If anyone is wondering where I have been, I work on contract for the month of August every year. It is the first bit of freelance work I got when I came to the US 6 years ago and I still like to take on this contract every year. It is not exciting work, but it is a fun and refreshing change from shooting weddings and events. I find this month gives me an opportunity to leave our daily life behind… it revitalizes me and gets me excited to get back to start working on our weddings again.
So, I am excited to get home even though we will have to leave a couple of days later to fly out to California for an HBO event. Thus is the life of an event photographer… there is always something new and exciting going on 🙂
