Two weeks ago I drove to Valley Ranch to train the new guys in the Dallas Cowboys marketing department to use their photo system. That same weekend, we photographed an afternoon wedding and then headed over to the Arlington Convention Center to check in on the guys at the Cowboy’s Draft Party that was also sponsored by Miller Lite and 105.3 The Fan. Tanya and I made it there a little after 8PM and Chris and Thomas were doing a great job! They were taking photos and printing them for free for the public, and everyone loved their souvenir!
The marketing department office is right next to the covered training facility that collapsed this past weekend. I have never been inside the training facility, but it is the first thing you saw when you drove up to the Cowboys headquarters. Mine and Tanya’s hearts and thoughts go out to those who were injured, Rich Behm, Greg Gaither and Joe DeCamillis. This is truly a small world sometimes – Joe is married to Dan Reeves’ daughter, Dana, and I worked with one of Dan Reeves’ daughters at my first job in high school – Pizza and Subs at Valley View Mall in Dallas (unfortunately, I don’t remember which sister I worked with).
