It looks like we will feel the wrath hurricane Ike, but that can’t dampen our spirits here… Bill had some awesome news yesterday when he picked up a new client – the Dallas Cowboys! He is very excited. He met with the Cowboys almost a month ago and hadn’t heard back, then they called yesterday. Yay! Bill is setting them up to do promo photos at games, VIP events, maybe eventually the pro shops as well. Way to go Bill! I am kind of hoping that they want some extra help at the first game because I have never been to an American football game 🙂
We also went to Bill’s high school reunion last night. It was a small attendance but we had fun. Bill was glad to see a few people he hadn’t seen in years and he met a few new people as well. I have never been to a high school reunion (for me or Bill) so it was interesting to see how people interact and reminisce. They pulled out a few yearbooks and I have to say, they are more elaborate than the yearbooks from Canadian high schools. They even had names printed in the elementary school yearbooks!
As hurricane Ike turns into a tropical storm and graces DFW with it’s presence later this afternoon, Bill will be heading to the Gaylord Texan to help shoot an event for the National Cheerleaders Association. I am looking forward to a night of chick flicks and a giant bowl of popcorn! We had planned to go to Grapefest tomorrow but will pass if it is still raining tomorrow. That is ok, we went last year and didn’t even drink any wine!
