I love a great love story. I love to hear how a couple met, I love to hear story of the proposal, and I love to hear about all the stuff in between the two. I especially love the wedding day – the emotion, the beauty, and of course the cake! Today we are excited to be celebrating our 5th anniversary and I would love to share one of our stories.
As many of you have heard (over and over again :-), Bill & I met at a photography convention in Las Vegas. We can’t remember exactly which year it was… we were both in other relationships and didn’t think much of the encounter. Who knew what the future had in store for us. Over the years we continued to run into each other at various industry conventions and our humor and personalities always meshed. We would say hi, joke around a little and then go our separate ways. Then, there was that fateful spring when the stars aligned and we found ourselves single at the same time. The rest is history.
I lived in Canada and Bill lived in Texas, so we couldn’t actually date – just chatted online and on the phone. We talked about everything, our ups and downs, our hopes and aspirations and our disappointments in life. Sooooo, to keep a long story short, I eventually moved to the US to do contract work, Bill proposed, and before we knew it we were planning our own wedding!
Here we are, 5 blissful years later, and we are more in love today than the day we were married. Sweet and sappy, I know, but it is also true. I hope everyone out there has a great weekend, and to the two weddings we turned down for today, here’s hoping you are as happy 5 years from today as you are at this very moment 🙂 We wish you all the best
Here is us 5 years ago…
