It’s been a long time since I photographed a sporting event, so I was pretty excited when we were contacted by a friend in San Diego a couple months ago about a customer of theirs who needed photographs for a golf tournament in DFW. The Tournament was in support of Amor Ministries, who is working to build homes for families in Mexico. The tournament was last Monday – not a very popular day for weddings here, so we were available.
Monday was supposed to be a rainy day but we loaded our equipment and headed to Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound. The weather broke just in time for the 2:00 tee off. Tanya photographed the foursomes and I drove around in a golf cart to follow the golfers and take action shots of them. I was on yearbook and newspaper staff in high school and college and photographed every sport imaginable so it was fun to get back to it. A huge thanks goes out to Amor Ministries and their generous sponsors!
Tanya loved the pink headcovers and pink golf balls (can you tell she doesn’t golf?)
