We have had the great honor of photographing the Hall family since their second baby was a newborn, so we were very excited that we got to do some updated photos for their family wall. They were So Much FUN! Totally reminded us why we love doing family photos.
I absolutely love daytime weddings. Don’t get me wrong, a wedding at any time of the day is beautiful, but there is something about seeing that sun shining during the ceremony that just makes me smile. After Holly & Shawn’s touching (and sunny) ceremony, we did some quick family photos and then on to the reception! I admit, this is a somewhat self-indulgent post as I included some of my own family photos.
My mom, Shawn’s grandmother (both came from Canada for the wedding) and Eloisa (she is Michelle’s soon to be mother-in-law and she was visiting form Mexico). Yes, our little Canadian-Texan family is expanding to include Mexico as well :).

We had the great pleasure of photographing Holly & Shawn’s wedding last year. Not only was it a beautiful and emotional day but it meant so much more to us because Shawn is also my cousin. You heard that right – I have relatives here!
When I moved to the US 12 years ago I was lucky enough to move to the same metro area as one of my cousins (Shawn’s dad, Darrell). I only had 2 cousins in the US at the time so it was a wonderful coincidence and I have loved having family nearby. Age-wise, I am halfway between my cousin, Darrell and his wife Marylou, and their kids Shawn & Michelle, so I am close to all of them and I am eternally grateful to have them living so close to me. Holly was born and raised in Houston and we couldn’t be more thrilled that she has married into our small Canadian-Texan family.
So, enough about me and my family here, on to Holly and Shawn’s sunny, rustic wedding at Hollow Hill Farm!
Bri & Jonathan’s ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel was stunning, as all ceremonies there are, and it was followed by an equally unique reception at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. The theme was cherry blossoms, and even though we had to wait until 5 days before the wedding to catch the cherry blossoms for Bri’s bridal session (thanks to an unusually cold winter), we got it done and had a photo on display at her wedding! After a touching ceremony with a musical serenade, Bri & Jonathan exited through a sabre arch with sailors from the Ft Worth Naval Air Station. The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History was a beautiful backdrop for Bri & Jonathan’s reception and we even had a chance to do a late evening photo shoot with the Paluxysaurus jonesi in the DinoLab. Could it get much better than that?
Thank you to everyone who headed out to the Will Rogers Center this past Sunday for the Star-Telegram Bridal Show – we had a great time meeting everyone who stopped by our booth! We were pretty busy most of the day so if you came by but didn’t have a chance to talk to us, send us an email and we will tell you about our show specials!

We got to spend the day yesterday at the Las Colinas Convention Center hanging out with some of our favorite wedding vendors, and to make the day even better, we also got to meet tons of newly engaged couples! Thank you to everyone who braved the chilly winds to come out to see us, we hope you found everything you needed.
